Collaboration on this proposal was a success. Not only did our team draft a professional and persuasive proposal, but we were also involved in the research and experiments proposed in the document. The memorandum to MiracleGro is an excellent example of applying rhetorical knowledge and research to gain permission.
Washington State Hay Growers Association Process Change Proposal
The subject of this proposal hit close to home for me as I am a member of this association. There were issues with cross-contamination during our overseas alfalfa hay exports. The use of research and rhetorical knowledge were key to making changes within the association. The WSHGA proposal is an example of rhetorical knowledge and using professional conventions.
Food Security: A Project Addressing Food Insecurity in Tempe, AZ
It was rewarding tackling the complicated topic of food insecurity. It is an epidemic with global effects. Typically, I would have formatted this proposal as a document. It was a learning experience proposing this project in a presentation. This was an opportunity to use this medium in a new genre. The use of this genre showcases my design skills as well as my ability to adapt my approach to suit the audience.
