Technical Communication

I cannot count the number of times someone has asked me, “What exactly is a technical communicator?”. The question, I tell them, isn’t what is a technical communicator but what isn’t? 

 

A technical communicator is a writer, editor, creator, and designer. They analyze and research. They market and sell; guide and educate. Technical communicators tell a story through language, voice, and visuals. Above all, they know their audience.
